Here, our company has gradually increased the land owned by mainly following two criteria: acquiring areas close to those we have already cultivated or acquiring plots with good extension, maintaining the proper balance between vineyards and forest, keeping grass-covered fields, so as to respect the environment as much as possible. We planted the vineyards - or have them reimplanted, where appropriate - always after a careful analysis of the characteristics of the soil, the microclimate and abilities of each grape variety: that is why the vines that produce white dry or aromatic wines live in the cooler areas, while the south-facing hills are home to the red grape vines for structured wines.
There are three major plots: the first is located around the winery - and also includes the Ronco Bressana -; the second is not far away, in the area of Bostonat - in Buttrio - acquired in 2003 and characterized by soils of different types, and the third piece is the recent purchase of the historic Montsclapade Cru, a few kilometers from the basement - in Orsaria.
The harvest of red grapes is the case in advanced maturity instead, in order to ensure longevity and richness to the wine, while Picolit has always a prolonged drying, on racks. We believe that respect for tradition and the use of the latest technology can get along. It’s also why, harvest after harvest, we are committed to extract the best from each bunch and thus to ensure the quality and consistency of wines well balanced and with strong character.
