Refosco dal peduncolo rosso
Native wine, heir of the ancient Pucinum, planted here by the Romans. Important and proud, it is a perfect match for roast meats, stew and game.

Our lands are home to Refosco since over 30 years in the plain of Solzaredo and over 10 years in the areas of Montsclapade. This grape variety offers its best performance when mature. It has a beautiful bouquet, with scents of ink, coffee and blackberry pie. The taste confirms the same flavors and adds notes of cherry and plum, which often accompany hints of white pepper. It is an aggressive and rough wine in the young age, but offers important softened tannins and a remarkable persistence during maturity. Excellent for our traditional regional dishes like “cotechino e lenticchie” (traditional spiced pork sausage with lentils), goulash and hare.
