FRIULANO - 2019
As of 2007, the EU regulations established that the wine produced from Tocai grapes shall be called Friulano to not mistake it with the Hungarian Tokaji (sweet wine). However, winemakers and wine enthusiasts continue to call it Tocai Friulano. The vine is a white grape variety that embraces the true spirit of the terroir. In fact, it has been grown in Friuli for almost a century when it arrived from France where it was known as Sauvignonasse and it was considered the younger brother of Sauvignon blanc.
